Introduction

 DBP Readthrough plan Year 1

                             Daily Bible reading outline

Weekday readings

- 1 Passage from the Old Testament

- 1 Chapter from Proverbs

- 1 Passage from the New Testament

Weekend readings for both days

- 2 passages from the Old Testament

- 1 Chapter from Proverbs

- 2-3 Passages from Psalms

Note- Proverbs is a book to be read through every month- one Proverb a day in conjunction with the day of the month. ex: if today is the 6th of June I read Proverbs chapter 6 today, tomorrow's the 7th... and so on.

There will be some Chronologically involved in the Old Testament passages in regards to events.

Also instead of starting out with the Gospels I started in the epistles. Why? Because when I started this reading plan in 2019 I already read through the Gospels & Acts earlier that year and I wanted to move forward with my NT readings.

And I incorporated a chapter of Proverbs a day in this plan because there is so much practicality in this book. I heard someone say that Proverbs is the most applicable book in the Bible but yet it's the least applied, I tend to agree.

Lastly Psalms makes for great weekend reading.

There is a fair bit of reading everyday but read as you see fit. You don't have to read in one sitting, make time to spread the daily readings out throughout the day if need be.
